About the author

I’m Russell Morrison — storyteller, veteran, and believer in the kind of love that doesn’t flinch when things get hard.

Before I started writing fiction, I served in the United States Marine Corps, and that experience still shapes the way I write today. I’ve seen what it means to carry loss. I’ve seen how hard it can be to keep going — and how powerful it is when someone stands beside you anyway. That’s why I write the stories I do. Romance, for me, isn’t fluff. It’s survival. It’s redemption. It’s the quiet, fierce hope that love really can be a way back to yourself.

My debut novel, The Second Chance, was born from that place — inspired by my own time in uniform, and the emotional aftermath that’s harder to talk about. It’s a story about a Marine named Ryan, a woman named Claire, and the unexpected ways two broken people can save each other.

Now, I write across genres — from emotional military romance to historical, modern, and supernatural love stories — but no matter the setting, every book starts with a flawed, complicated character who’s fighting their way toward connection.

When I’m not writing, I’m probably reading, tinkering with new story ideas, or spending time with my beautiful family. I live for layered characters, tension that won’t let go, and endings that earn every beat of their hope.
